Dr. Daniel Estes Faculty Member ofthe Year Repeatedly,people describe the faculty member ofthe year as one with genuine concern for his students while challengingthem toward academic excellence. Afellow colleague described him bysaying,"In every area ofhis life, he is a model ofexcellence." In his family,he is adedicated husbandandfatherofthree children. Histeachingis clear and he uses creativity. In class,he makestheinformation excitingand relevant to the students' lives. He recently resigned from being the associate pastor at his church in order to serve as the Assistant Academic Vice-President. However,he remains active in ministry. Professionally, he has written many scholarly publications as well as the text for the class he designed,Introduction to Bible Study.
