Day of Prayer The entire student body drops to their knees in prayer for specific requests of the students on the "day of prayer." For two days each year, once during fall quarter and once during spring quarter,the faculty,staff and students of Cedarville College pause for a moment to devote their heartsto prayerforthe nation,the College,and the Collegefamily. Dr. Dixon set the tone for the fall quarter Day of Prayer during his address when he prescribed a consistent prayer life as a prerequisite for moral purity. Theday began in chapel wherethe Collegefamily metfor praise,worship,and focused on prayer. Greg Vossler, the president of International Schools for China,broughta message employing Psalm 27to illustratefour stepstowardsan effective prayer life. Special prayer was lifted during chapel for the unsaved parents and grandparents of those present and for the seniors who were facing major decisions in the next few months. To conclude the service, students gathered in small groups to pray for the special requests heavy on their own hearts.The official activitiesfor the dayended asstudents metwith their advisors for prayer. Studentsgathered in groupsof10around the lake to pray for our Nation after the 8:00 am flag raising on the National Day of Prayer. day of prayer
