From 1961- 3, he worked at Batelle Me- orial Institute in Columbus s a nuclear physicist analyz- • ingnuclearreactors.Dr.Wetzel made the switch to teaching at a time in his life when he was experiencing setbacks and dis- appointments and was search- ing for the direction God wanted him to take.It wasthen thatPsalm27:14becameavery important verse to him:"Wait on the Lord; be of good cour- age, and he shall strengthen thine heart. Wait,I say,on the Lord." Dr.Wetzel said,"I was being impatient; I had to real- ize that God didn't want my tithe,mytime,ortalentasmuch as He just wanted me." Dr. Wetzel felt God calling him to serve in some Christian minis- try, and Pastor Bill Brock of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Columbus directed Dr. Wetzel's attention towards Cedarville College. Dr. Wetzel hasno plansforretire- ment. He said,"How do you retire from ministry? When I'm told that I've stopped be- ing effective at myjob,that's when I'll step down.
