Dr.Dixon started the weekend withTheStateofthe College Ad- dress. In the Address,he talked aboutCedarville'sgrowthandplans forfuturedevelopment. ThemusicfacultypresentedThe PRISM concert and reflected on how the Cedarville musicdepart- menthasgrowninthemanyyears sinceitsestablishment.Thepresen- tation, narrated by Dr. David Matson,relatedthemusicians'"at- tempt to serve Jesus Christ with [their] talents." The brass choir openedtheeveningwith"Fanfare fortheCommonMan."TheCon- cert Chorale, Men's Glee Club, andSymphonicBandfollowedthe /radeealeJ,J4/r-d 04//nemo/a),and J/e,,,,,e/14,e/waled eio-nze/n6va),.. brass choir's numbers. The CedarvilleCollegeOrchestraclosed theeveningwithapatriotic"Ameri- canSalute." Inadditiontogroupsofstudent musicians,thefacultyalsocontrib- utedtheirmusicalgifts. DiCuirci, Dr.James Colman,Pagnard,Dr. John Mortensen, Dr. Charles Clevenger,and Mr.Mark Spen- cerdisplayedtheir marveloustal- ents. The Saturday morning parade continued withthe"OnceUpona Time"theme.Asmanypeoplelined the streets,they saw floats repre- sentingcastles,nurseryrhymes,and evenamorerecentpast,thehippie era.'Theafternoon'sactivitiesgave thealumniachancetointeractwith oneanotherandtoreminisceabout theirmemoriesatCedarville. The graduatessharedoldmemoriesand presentstudentscreatednewmemo- ries.Boththegraduatesandpresent studentswillcarrythesememories withthemhappilyeverafter. htmi 12 student life
