w‘dy,„ dil,edmdehlederff;2awe/ t e‘4,w eh tZ4;7tt,ede4d‘ide " ,q IN LOVING MEMORY Mr.Rollie Polsdorfer Rolan David Polsdorfer,commonly known as "Rollie" around the Cedarville campus,completed his journey offaith and went home to be with his Lord on August 27,2002,after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Polsdorfer was employed at Cedarville University for 12 years in several capacities, and his co-workers remember him as a man ofGod,who was committed to helping students through his work at Cedarville. Furthermore, Mrs. Diane Mitchell, the Administrative Assistant at the Physical Plant, recalls Polsdorfer's deep love and commitment to his family. Pictures ofhis children and grandchil- dren littered his office, and he often stopped to ask about his workers' families, as well as their lives outside ofthe office. Mr.Polsdorfer served in the United States Naval Reserve for eight years as an Electricians Mate, Second Class and Instructor for Recruit Training and Basic Seamanship. A licensed Professional Electrical Engineer, he graduated from the University ofToledo in 1960 and was a member ofthe National Society of Professional Engineers, the Ohio Society ofProfessional Engineers,the National Electrical Contractors Association, and the Builders Exchange. While at Cedarville, Mr.Polsdorfer served as an Electrical Consultant,taught Computer Aided Design as an adjunct professor, and served on the Engineering Academic Advisory Board. In 1993, he became the Director ofthe Physical Plant. He was also involved with several campus building projects, such as the ENS,the DMC,and the SSC. His love for students was showing through his commitment to the Cedarville University President's Associates since the early 1980s. At his death, Mr.Polsdorfer left behind his wife Catherine and their four children, as well as many grandchildren. Although his was often "behind the scenes," his love and dedication to Cedarville will be greatly missed. 300 MEMORY
