EW FACES Students gather at the flagpole to pray before classes begin. > < Mr. Derrick Green, a new member of the Communications Department. shares his teaching goals with the student body. Traveling to Cedarville University from the corners ofthe world, the new faculty shared their hearts and history during chapel on September 26. While a few ofthe fourteen new faculty members grew up in Ohio or attended Cedarville University, the rest took elaborate paths across the United States and the globe. The new faculty related themselves to the incoming freshmen through a video that showed them driving the wrong way down one-way streets, getting lost looking for the Apple Technology Resource Center, and attending endless meet- ings. Students identified with the trials ofthe new faculty as they remembered mishaps from their first year at Cedarville. Using 1Corinthians 2:12-16,Dr.Dan Stevensofthe Bible Departmentreminded everyone that any task orjob should be treated as worship to God. Mr.Derrick Green and Ms.Shannah Campbell explained that their goals in teaching included building competence in students and creating positive relationships. Sophomore Kristin Ball said,"I enjoyed hearing that the new faculty really wanted to be available for us and were willing to connect with us." A member of the engineering faculty, Timothy Tuinstra, leads worship in chapel. > 56 FALL SEMESTER
