Ar Ast--K7-iric-nin111 THEMATIC CHRISTMAS Brilliant lights, garland, red and green decorations, Santa Claus, candy canes, Christmas music, and plenty ofcreative designs all overwhelmed visitors' senses as they enjoyed the Christmas season at Cedarville. This may sound like a holiday exhibition, but on December 5th and 6th,students,faculty, and stafftraveled around the Cedarville campus for Christmas Open Houses. As always, students plastered numerous creative designs all over their rooms and halls. Students decorated each dorm with various themes, but many featured Dr. Dixon's version of"I'm Dreaming ofa White Christmas." The residents of McKinney decided upon Christmas at the Airport for their theme, while Brock went more retro with a Techno Palace. An Insane Asylum with an odd Christmas theme graced Printy. The decorating and touring gave students a break from assignments. It also provided a time for all students to socialize with each other outside oflounges and off-campus activities. Most students took advantage ofvisiting other dorms. Dr. Dixon even stopped by all the dorms to meet with the students and laugh at their renditions ofhis favorite Christmas music. Students also saw Pastor Rohm touring the dorms and spreading his own holiday cheer. Students also took the opportunity to get to know their fellow students better by sharing in the excitement ofthe holiday season. "It was really nice to work together with my hall. Sometimes you don't get to know people because they live at the opposite end ofthe hall, and it was good to be with them,"sophomore nursing major Amanda Renee Roush said. "It was really fun; I got to know my unitmates better from designing and decorating. Being a freshman, it was cool to go to upperclassmen dorms to get ideas to plan for decorations next year," freshman political science major Jennifer Lusk said. Pastor Robert Rohm tours the halls and poses with students who are excited about Open House. > 62 FALL SEMESTER
