In four years, we have made the transition of nervous freshmen taking our first steps into the larger world ofcollege to a family of close friends committed to success- fully meeting the many changes and challenges set before us by our university and world events. The class of2003 has always been characterized by its enthusiasm, talent, and commitment to excellence, and I have no doubt that we will continue to be innovators and leaders as we part ways into separate careers, ministries, and callings. As we begin the next phase ofour lives, let us keep close to heart our Father's promise to "direct our paths"(Proverbs 3:5-6),"uphold us with His victorious right hand"(Isaiah 41:10),"make His mercies new to us every morning"(Lamentations 3:22,23),and perfectly reveal the "future and hope"He has for each one of us (Jeremiah 29:11). Every day may we experience thejoyful affirmation ofour pupose in life, and may the sufficiency we find in Him bring glory to His name. C.S.Lewis wrote that "All the adventures we experience in this life are only the cover and title page ofour entire existence. In heaven we begin Chapter One ofthe great story, a story that goes onforever,a story where each chapter is better than the one before." No success, failure, circumstance,or situation we face in this life can ever compare to the glorious expectation ofinfinite happiness and love that we will experience with Christ forever. Let our lives be a reflection of this great hope and future. May God bless the class of2003,and may He lovingly preserve us to the day when we go to begin our"great story."
