12th in NAIA Cedarville University women's track and field added sixteen new members to the twenty-sixpersonteam butlooked to build on the few promising returnees after a successful previous season. The team's veterans immediately made an impact as Sarah Mark and Rachael Castro met the NAIA indoor qualifying standardsin the 5,000 metersand pole vault. Castro set a new school record in the pole vault, andfreshmanSarahEnsslenjoined the ranks ofNAIA qualifiers in the triplejump. School records continued to be broken throughout the season byCastrointhepolevault,Lauren Mable in the 55 and 200 meter dashes, the 4 X 200 relay team, KeriHiltyinthe500,600and800 meters, and Michaela Bolton in the weight throw. Cedarvillecamebackwithnine All-Americansfrom theNCCAA Indoor Nationals and won six events at the meet,adding NAIA automatic qualifiers eligible for the Indoor Championships. Cedarvillereturned withfourAll- AmericansfromtheNAIAIndoor Championships,includingCastro, Mark, Ensslen, and Samantha Maat in the 5,000 meters. Maatand the rest ofthe Lady Jackets continued to challenge themselvesin theoutdoorseason, winning seven events in the outdoor opener at Indiana Wesleyanandthenplacingsecond overall at the Muskingum Invitational.
