2005 Miracle Yearbook

Publisher / The 2005 Miracle was published by Jostens,Inc. It was printed at their plant located in State College, PA. Our Jostens' representative was Tillie Billheimer. Our Plant representatives have been Tom Yontosh and Terry Martin. Cover The 2005 Miracle cover was a Lithocraft Pictorial cover, using photographs provided by Kim Jacobs and design provided by Chad Jackson and Andrew Harris. It was rounded,sewed,and bound. It was printed on High Gloss Litho and had a matte finish. Paper Stock The 2005 Miracle's 288 pages were printed on Glossy 80# paper. The 2005 Miracle was our first volume that all the pages were printed with four color process ink. The 2005 Miracle cover, opening,dedication, dividers,section layouts, and closing were designed by Chad Jackson and Andrew Harris with help from the layout staff. Theme Color Design The 2005 Miracle theme was selected by the editorial staff at the beginning of the school year. It was our hope to show the faces and to tell the stories that represent all of us here at Cedarville this year. Production The 2005 Miracle was produced on both IBM and Macintosh computers. Layouts were produced using Adobe Indesign CS. Photos were scanned using HP Precision Scan. Photos were cropped, resized, and touched up using Adobe Photoshop CS. Text effects and titles were produced using Adobe Illustrator CS. Copy was typed into Microsoft Word and then imported into lndesign. Typography There were two fonts used in the printing of this book; Helvetical Neue LT Std,57 Condensed and Gothic No.13. The stories and sports scoreboards were size 10. The Captions and Class Picture Names were size 9. Page numbers were size 8. All of these were using the Helvetica font. The titles and Cover used the Gothic No.13. The size of the Titles on the dividers were 82 and the Titles on individual pages were 68.5. Photography The pictures in the 2005 Miracle were mainly taken by Kim Jacobs and her photography staff. We also accepted student submissions for some candids. Our Da Vor representative was Jim Rainey. Some of the sports pictures,team pictures,and other candids were provided by Scott Huck,Photographer for Cedarville University, Public Relations. The team pictures and candids for both the girls and guys track and field teams were provided by Matt Franz.
