Dr. Lawrence Zavodney served as the chair of the department. Chaired by Irene Alyn, the Nursing Department educated students who will fulfill God's purpose for their lives in local communities and throughout the world through the field of nursing. The faculty in the department of Science and Mathematics worked to employ variety in their teaching to reach a majority of diverse students. Dr. Dennis Flentge chaired the department. Dr. Clint Cole, an engineering professor, said, "Impacting the lines of young people and encouraging then to grow spiritually as well as intellectually is immensely rewarding."
