"I am sure we have not pleased every- one . . . but I am grateful to the Univer- sity and to Pioneer for spending the time and the money to make the won- derful improvements . . . It's great!" —Chuck McKinney Cafeteria Supervisor CAFETERIA RENOVATION As the summer wound down and the school year began, there was one thing on everyone's lips: Chuck's renovations. Long awaited and anticipated, these alter- ations were the talk of every returning student's Get- ting Started weekend. What exactly did they change? For starters, they added all new tile, carpet, and wall coverings that contributed to the charming Chuck's ambience, plus new booths and flat screen TVs in UpChuck's. In addition to the aesthetic alterations, the renovations moved the beverages closer to the seating areas, added an ever-popular Sub Zone with made-to- order sub sandwiches, improved the quality ofthe pizza with new pizza ovens, and moved the salad bar and Breakfast All Day station for greater accessibility and convenience. With Chuck himself retiring in December, the only other possible change was to the name. COOK IT YOURSELF 1. Ryan Biddinger, Steven McCown,Alex Treide, and Daniel Nordquist enjoy lunch together in UpChuck's. 2.Jillian Philyaw stands in line at the brand new sub sandwich line. 3.Junior Sam Armstrong prepares his favorit dish to cook: stir fry. 4. New booths and high tables in UpChuck' give it a refined feel in spite of its name. 5.The salad bar was enlarged to allow two lines to flow through faster. Amen Which It-You
