alumnotes | News John Clauer ’72 published a book titled God’s Chessboard: The Story of God’s Providential Plan as Revealed in Human History. The book, which examines the biblical books of Daniel and Revelation and applies them to modern human history, is the culmination of 45 years of personal study of both Scripture and history. Suzy (Jones) LaBonte ’86 published a book with David C. Cook titled Zachary’s Choice: Surviving My Child’s Suicide. The book chronicles the difficult first year following the death of her 16-year-old son and shares how God faithfully brought hope and heal- ing into her family’s life. It includes a survival guide and suggested resources for those impacted by suicide. Besides writing, Suzy facilitates a local support group for survivors of suicide loss. She lives, homeschools, and fosters children with her husband, Allen, at their home in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Bruce McNabb ’86 became Greystone Health Network’s Chief Operating Officer for Ohio in January 2015. Managing operations for 11 of the company’s skilled nursing centers, Bruce brings his history of excep­ tional customer satisfaction and quality in long-term care to the organization. The Greystone Health Network encompasses 45 skilled nursing, home health, and hospice locations in Florida and Ohio. Brent Davis ’92 is the new high school principal at Tree of Life Christian School in Columbus, Ohio. Jo Ann (Freyermuth) Davis ’89 has been working as an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner in an ICU at Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2012. Their oldest child, Caitlin, is a junior at Indiana Wesleyan University and daughter Celeste is a freshman at Cedarville. Their other children attend Tree of Life. Rob ’93 and Mindy (Ritter) Reed ’87 were called to a new ministry in Huntington, West Virginia, in 2011, and then called to foster and adopt a sibling group of five young children. Rob now serves as Associate Pastor of Worship Arts at River Cities Community Church. Mindy serves on the advisory committee for Royal Family Kids Camp (RoyalFamilyKids.org) aiding children of abuse and neglect. Dave Rossi ’78 recently published a book titled The World Before A Watching Church. The book emphasizes the need for a unified orthodoxy within the Church of Jesus Christ. The basic doctrines of the Christian faith presented are supported by Scripture and exhibited to be the position held by fund­ amental biblical scholars. The book urges believers to live and speak Christianity back into our culture. Send us your news!
