Studio Art
The
Bachelor of Arts in studio art
is designed for students
with a strong interest in a variety of traditional studio disciplines
such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpting. Studio art
currently offers concentrations in drawing, painting, sculpture,
and printmaking. The major is ideally suited for students who
plan to complete graduate programs in art and arts-related fields.
Examples include art education, museum studies, art preparation,
art therapy, and illustration. Course requirements involve 62
semester hours, comprised of 54 studio art semester hours and
eight art electives.
