Donita (Swisher) Fogle ’73 attended the 2012 Taos Summer Writers’ Conference, driving 5,500 miles through nine states and visiting Focus on the Family, Eisenhower Presidential Library, Chicago Art Institute, and others, including Cedarville, along the way. She was able to connect with four other alumni on her journey. She is working on a reality-based project, “Talkin’ Truth…Walkin’ Real,” with her company, DLSF With Pens in Hand. She lives in McKinney, Texas. Dr. Kevin Geiss ‘90 received a Service to America Management Excellence Medal. He was recognized for championing the safe use of alternative fuels to ensure energy independence for combat and support missions around the globe and reducing U.S. Air Force fuel and energy consumption, saving more than $1 billion in 2012 alone. Kevin is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy with the Department of the Air Force in Washington, D.C. Jennifer (Heritage) PaskVan ’92 recently spent time in Guatemala City, Guatemala, providing teachers with strategies to meet diverse learning needs and identify the special needs learner. A 2011 System Teacher of the Year, Jennifer currently serves as a Special Education Consultant, responsible for assisting and supporting teachers in an eight-system region south of Atlanta. Tom ’93 and Lori (Garrigan) Mathisen ’92 have moved to Blue Island, Illinois, where Tom has been called to pastor Evangelical Community Church. Tom is transitioning from the business world, where he spent the last 20 years in sales and sales leadership. David ’93 and Ruth (Bartholomew) Kimmel ’93 and their daughters, Celeste (13) and Amber (10), look forward to returning to Romania in spring 2014 to begin their second term as missionaries with Baptist Mid- Missions. They serve in a new church plant among the Roma (Gypsies). Carly (Farmer) Andrews ‘96 was selected as Head of Middle School at Bosque School, an independent school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She began her new position at the beginning of the 2013–14 school year. Joshua Strychalski ‘99 released a book, Black Lions: Walk with Pride , in September 2013. This book is the second in his adventure series, Tocsinagon , geared toward elementary- and middle school-age children. Joshua and his wife, Kristen, live in Indianapolis, Indiana. Aaron ’99 and Amanda (Ringler) Wolfe ’99 and their seven children will be serving in Bethany Village, Uganda, an orphan village run by Africa Renewal Ministries, from September 2013 until February 2014. They are excited to be following the missions call they received while at Cedarville. They currently live in Ashland, Ohio. Aaron Welty ’06 was featured in Facing Life Head-On , an Emmy-winning life-issues television program. Aaron shared his life story and gave testimony of how God can use those with disabilities and physical challenges. Charity Hancock ’09 received her Master of Arts in English language and literature from the University of Maryland in May 2013. She teaches high school English at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Ohio. Adam Clouse ’10 received his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Dayton. He works as a Senior Financial Analyst at LexisNexis on its Global Financial Planning and Analysis team.
