OUR GROWTH Today, under the leadership of Dr. Paul Dixon, over 1,700 stu– dents pursue 23 majors and 14 special programs taught by more than 100 full- and part-time faculty. At a time when many colleges are experiencing declining enroll– ments, Cedarville is rejoicing in a record number of students. In the last four years alone the increase has been over 500 students . Seven new dormitory units have been built since 1979, and eight new academic programs have been in– stituted since 1977. In the last two years 18 faculty members have been added . OUR ACADEMICS Cedarville College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and holds an "A" rating in the Report of Credit given by the Association ofCollegiate Registrars and Admis– sions Officers . The college is authorized to certify elementary and sec– ondary teachers. Cedarville is an approved agency of the General As– sociation of Regular Baptist Churches . The academic climate at Cedarville is distinctive in that ___.. rigorous instruction is provided in the various disciplines and, simultaneously, students are challenged to examine their con– tent areas in the light of Biblical truth. The balanced integration of academic, co-curricular, and Scriptural components benefits each student in the totality of his being - mental, physical , social , and spiritual. The goal is academic excellence with Christian commit– ment, producing leaders who can make genuine contributions in society and throughout the world.
