COMPLETINGTHE CALLANATHLETICANDACADEMIC EXPANSION The expansion to theCallanAthletic Centerwas completed inApril 2022, providingmuch-needed space for bothathletic and academic programs. Themainfloor includes anewweight roomfor our student-athletes, plus a YellowJacket-branded teamroomthat allows players and staff tomeet, review film, host events, and recruit futureYellowJackets. The secondfloorhouses classroom, lab, and facultyoffice space for our twonewest graduateprograms, theMaster ofAthleticTraining that launched June 2022 andPA (Physician Assistant) Studies, recentlygrantedAccreditation-Provisional status by its professional accreditor, opening the door to enroll students inMay2023. NEWRESIDENCEHALLOPENS Withrecord enrollment comes theneed for additional student housing. WoodHall opened in fall 2022, providing 120beds for female students. This three-story residencehall provides somuchmore thanaplace to sleep: Through late-night talks, groupprayer time, and intentional discipleship, youngwomenare being encouraged to growdeeper in their faithandmake Christ central to everything theydo. BREAKINGGROUNDONTHE SCHARNBERGBUSINESSCENTER As part of homecomingweekend, we officiallybroke groundon the $40 millionLorneC. ScharnbergBusiness Center. Thisworld-class facility that is being constructedon thenorth side of Cedar Lakewill house our business and communicationacademic programs, theCenter for theAdvancement of Cybersecurity, and theBerryCenter for FreeEnterprise aswell as our students’ favorite—EinsteinBros. Bagels! RENAMINGTHE SCHOOLOFBUSINESS OnOctober 1, 2022, during the official groundbreaking ceremonyof the ScharnbergBusiness Center, we announced thenaming of theRobertW. Plaster School of Business.We are grateful for the investment of theRobert W. Plaster Foundationand for our shared commitment to excellent business educationand free enterprise. 12
