Ohio $34,700 Goes To Fund for Foreign Study The Fund for the Advance­ ment of E d u c a t i o n is an­ nouncing a three-year grant for $34, 700 to Antioch Col­ lege for its Antioch Educa­ tion Abroad program which b eg i ns next fall, President Samuel B. Gould said today. The g r a n t will be used to s upp l eme n t the college's budget for its e d u c a t i o n abroad program during the three e x p e r i me n t a l years with the belief that the pro­ gram will be self-supporting at the end of that time. Some portion of the grant will go for scholarship funds with the understanding that the college's general scholar­ ship funds will be available to students abroad on equal terms with students in resi­ dence. To supply competition the con­ test was divided among the four Junior High home rooms. Mrs.Douglas's seventh grade won and Mrs. Wi l b u r n ' s eighth grade came in second. As for i n d i v i d.u al prizes, Jeff Powers won first place fo r the second consecutive year and r e c e i v e d a wrist watch for his efforts. Gene Bradds was second and was awarded a flash camera out­ fit. Keith Cavendar was given a h a n d bag' f or coming in third. The eighth graders are stu­ dying hard to prepare for the 8th grade tests which are to be given April J.2. The J un i o r High baseball and track teams are getting in shape for their respective schedules. This year for the first time tne J un i o r High will have a baseball league. Trophies will be awarded to the first and s e c o n d place winners of the league. The J un i o r High County Track Meet (initiated last year at Greeneview S o u t h ) will be held again this year (tenta­ tive plans are for May 17 at Wilbcrforce).
