Missionary Internship Service Pictured above is Terry Clapp, a Cedarville College freshman, and Sue Moore, a junior at Cedarville, as they visit the Health Center at the College. Terry is receiving an inoculation shot from Miss Elaine Schulte, R .N., as Dr. Don Callan, advisor and chairman of the Missionary Internship Service, looks on. Shots are just a part of the requirements needed by the students in preparing for their foreign field experience this summer. Twelve present or former Cedarville students are traveling abroad this sum– mer in the College's MIS program. All are goi ng to the Philippines and/ or Hong Kong where they will serve in many capacities. A Word From Your Editor ... The Lord continues to bless THE OHIO INDEPENDENT BAPTIST! We are now p rinting 5300 copies per month. He is keeping us busy in special meetings. We praise Him for His continued blessings and thank • Him for the many who faithfully remember us and this work in prayer . We've let it be known to different ones of the invitation given us by Cedarville College to take a team of students and witness in Alaska, the Philippines and Hong Kong. This was a part of their Missionary Internship Service program. Natural ly, we were excited about this. We agreed to make such a trip but made three stipula– tions. These were ( 1) that we be kept busy ministering the Word wherever we went (2) that Mrs. Mof– fat go with me. She could be used at the piano. (3) that the Lord send in the necessary money for the trip. We went ahead and had our cholera and small pox shots and also ob– tained our passports. We daily asked Him to reveal His f u]l will in all of this. As time moved along, through correspondence with the missionaries we learned that the trip (especially to Hong Kong) was not well timed. We would be with them at a time that did not work with their pro– grams. Thi would greatly limit 1 our being used. Too, the needed funds were not being realized. The trip would have co t u $2500. We received $1800. Of this, over $700 was from our own savings. We could have gone to the bank and borrowed the balance, but did not feel this would have been honoring to Him. If He wanted us to go, we felt HE WOULD SUPPLY! We have therefore taken it from Him, that we are not to make this trip. We will be spending the ummer at home! All monie sent u for the trip have been returned to the donors. We greatly appreciate their kind– nes . We wish we could have gone . . . but take it as a part of the "all things' ' in Romans 8: 28. An Urgent Need! We urge special prayer for our 1nissionaries still in East Pakistan. Pray, too, concerning the work that has been established , the physical properties and the like. These are difficult days. Our greatest weapon is prayer. Let us be faithful in it!
