Addy Miller was introduced as the new women’s basketball head coach at Cedarville University by President Thomas White during a press conference at the Callan Athletic Center on March 22. Miller will lead the Lady Jackets after serving as an assistant coach the past three seasons at NCAA Division II powerhouse Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. This is her first head coaching position. “We are excited to welcome a proven winner in Addy Miller to our women’s basketball program," stated Athletic Director Chris Cross. “Throughout the search process she has demonstrated an impressive balance of faith, humility, passion, and confidence along with a desire to be a part of what God is doing at Cedarville.” During Miller’s tenure at Drury, the Panthers posted an 87-9 record and were the 2021 NCAA Division II runners-up. ADDY MILLER NAMED HEAD COACH 2022–23 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS • A total of 283 varsity student-athletes. • Cedarville University earned its 10th-consecutive NCAA Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence. • All 14 varsity athletic programs recorded a 3.0 GPA or higher, with women’s cross country leading the way at 3.65. • The average GPA of all Yellow Jacket student-athletes was 3.44. • Women’s cross country repeated as G-MAC Champions and placed a best-ever seventh at the NCAA Division II Championship. • Evan Leist ’24 earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country Championship • Senior volleyball player Mallory Delamarter ’23 was presented the G-MAC Elite 26 Award for having the highest GPA among all players at the conference tournament — the second time she has earned the award. • Senior men’s basketball player Jacob Drees ’23 was presented the NCCAA Pete Maravich Award — the third-straight time a Yellow Jacket has received the coveted award. • The Lady Jackets led all divisions of NCAA women’s basketball with a .838 free throw accuracy. • Cedarville University qualified for NCAA Division II Championships in women’s cross country, men’s cross country, women’s soccer, men’s indoor track & field, women’s indoor track & field, men’s outdoor track & field, and women’s outdoor track & field. • The Yellow Jackets won their fifth-straight NCCAA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship, totaled 37 NCCAA All-Americans in all sports, and 162 students were named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.
