YELLOW JACKET QUICK HITS THREE YELLOW JACKETS EARN NCAA ALL-AMERICA HONORS ON THE TRACK A school record total of 14 student-athletes qualified for this year’s NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, and three Yellow Jackets took the podium at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Matt Schaeckenbach earned two recognitions — third in the high jump and eighth in the hurdles — while Emily Walsh finished fifth in the mile and Brandon Rogers took sixth in the 400 meters. LADY JACKETS CLAIM EIGHTH STRAIGHT NCCAA INDOOR BANNER Cedarville won seven events and cruised to an eighth consecutive NCCAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship at the Doden Field House. The Lady Jackets swept the relay titles in the 4 x 200, 4 x 400, and distance medley relay. Audrianna Enns, Caroline Hamilton, and Helen Rhymer each won individual titles, and 19 student-athletes were recognized as All-Americans. Head Coach Jeff Bolender and his staff were recognized as the NCCAA Coaching Staff of the Year. LADY JACKETS BASKETBALL TAKES THIRD PLACE AT NCCAA CHAMPIONSHIP The Lady Jackets won third place in the eight-team NCCAA Championship at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. After holding off a furious rally by Sterling in the third-place game, the Yellow Jackets saw their only setback to eventual champion Ozarks in the semifinals. Cedarville finished with 14 victories during the season by winning six of their final seven games. “No one likes seeing the season end,” said Head Coach Addy Miller, “but most teams don't get the opportunity to close out the year with a win, and we did that today.
