Cedarville Magazine Fall 2018

The Missionary Intern Service, later known as Missions Involvement Services (MIS), was the forerunner of today’s Cedarville University Global Outreach. The first team went out in 1971 to Japan and the Philippines, and by the following year, the growth of Cedarville’s international missions effort had multiplied exponentially. The March 26, 1972, issue of the Whispering Cedars student newspaper notes that growth, and this is the first recorded use of the MIS name to designate Cedarville’s efforts to spread the Gospel around the world.
