Jeff Beste '86 will join the Student Services staff at Cedarville College as resident director of Carr, Marshall, and Palmer dormitories this fall. Beste, who served in the Admissions Office as assistant director for the past four years, plans to work toward his master's degree in student services as he builds into the lives of young men. Dan Rase'87 joined the CDR Radio Network staff as marketing representative for the south central Ohio and northeastern Kentucky regions. Rase will be responsible for public relations and listener relations for WOHP 88.3FM,a simulcast affiliate of WCDR in Portsmouth, Ohio. He will continue to serve as assistant pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth. Dan received his bachelor of arts degree in Comprehensive Bible from Cedarville College and also attended Tri-State Bible College in South Point, Ohio. IN MEMORY Angela and Dave joined friend Bobby Shomo'84 (center)at Homecoming 1987. First Lieutenant David Jones'84 was killed in a helicopter crash during joint military exercises with Kuwait.The oil accident occurred at 2a.m.on Sunday morning,August9,1992(7 p.m.EDT, Saturday)approximately eight miles south ofthe Kuwaiti-Iraqi border. The Navy reports both crew members ofthe AH-1W Cobra helicopter perished. Dave was stationed at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base and resided in Oceanside,California with his wife, Angela Johnston Jones'84N,and two sons, Madison,2 1/2,and Ian,6 months. Dave had been on maneuvers in Kuwait for approximately 2months. Dave is also survived by his parents Ken'70 and Alice Collier Jones'78 who reside in Dublin,Ohio and an older brother,Casey. Dave enjoyed participating in the Alumni soccer games at Homecoming and keeping in touch with Cedarville College friends. We dedicate this issue ofInspire to David Jones.Let Freedom Ring.
