Inspire, Summer 2001

Career Services News A n exciting future awaits our 2001 graduates! This dynamic group of students will enter various top-level positions and graduate school programs across the country in the coming months. It is the privilege of the career services department to play a vital role in helping these students as they anticipate the next step in God's plan for their lives. We are pleased to see this year's graduates heading to companies such as OPEX Corporation, IBM, Honda, Caterpillar, GM,and Procter & Gamble. Those continuing their education will do so at universities such as Pittsburgh School of Law, Ohio State, Florida State, Purdue, Miami, and Regent. Many other students will enter full-time ministry in churches and organizations around the world, while yet others will study at Dallas Theological Seminary, Baptist Bible Seminary, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School to further their ministry preparation. Networking with our alumni has been of great value as we endeavor to help our students impact their world for Christ. Alumni play a crucial role in helping current students locate opportunities and reach their career goals. The career services department seeks to broaden its communication with alumni and encourages alumni and friends of the University to look up the career services homepage ( www.cedarville.edu/dept/cpp ) and visit the "CareerNet" link. "CareerNet" is a network of parents, alumni, and friends of the University who partner with us to help students. If you are willing to call in job opportunities, influence your company to attend Career Link recruiting events, encourage internships with your company, or act as a general "career link" to your region, be sure to register online. You should also notice the 2001-2002 Career Link schedule. Career Link Days provide another essential tool for students as they make post- graduation decisions and provide valuable face- time for employers to aid in their recruitment process. As the number of employees and students attending continues to increase, the upcoming year promises to be one of the best ever.
