The Dramatic Club met once a month in the Y.W. room. Usually the meeting consisted of a one-act play which was presented by the members of the society. These plays were directed by eithera student or Miss Basore. At one meeting Dr. Markle gave a talk on stage "make-up," offering helpful suggestions to any of us who may direct plays in high school. Besides the regular meetings, the society also pre- sented short plays at ladies' club meetings and near-by schools. It also presented plays for the Cedrus Staff and Senior Class. The plays presented this year at the regular meet- ings were: "Suppressed Desires," "Bread," and"He Ain't Done Right by Nell." The three-act plays presented this year were: "The Fool" and "Our Town." Much of the success of the Dramatic Club was due to Miss Basore. the director of our plays. Miss Nies- trath also gave valuable assistance to the society.
