Fifty-five missionaries brought heightened awareness
of missions to the college family during the annual
Missions Conference March 21-25. Speaker for the
evening sessions was Dan Gelatt, Jr., missionary to
Argentina and recently appointed coordinator for
Central America and the Carribean for the Association
of Baptists for World Evangelism. Missionaries
representing 13 boards presented challenges in
morning chapel, classes, and in dormitory and
organizational meetings.
Dr. Paul Dixon was the keynote speaker at the 1994 Delaware
Valley Evangelistic Crusade which took place at Bethel Baptist
Church during Easter week, March 30 to
April 3. The theme of this year's crusade
was"A New Hope for A New
Tomorrow."The crusade was a
cooperative effort of several south
New Jersey churches, including
Haddon Heights Baptist Church and
Shawnee Baptist Church. Mrs. Pat
Dixon attended the evangelistic
outreach meetings with Dr. Dixon.

Jennifer Brandt Conner'90 will graduate in June from
the Medical College ofOhio and will begin a three-year
family practice residency in Toledo,Ohio.Jennifer is
thankful that many ofthe doctors and other residents in
the program are Christians as well! Earlier this year,she
had the opportunity to spend a month on an Indian
reservation in South Dakota,providing primary care in a
small hospital and in clinics throughout the reservation.
Jennifer appreciated this cultural experience, working
with midwives and witnessing an Indian pow-pow.
Jennifer's husband,Jeff,is pursuing a degree in
industrial engineering at the University ofToledo.
Jamie-lee Fields'90N is a petty officer,third class in
the U.S. Navy.In early 1994,he participated in an
emergency night evacuation ofa passenger ferry while
on patrol in the Adriatic Sea for NATO Operation
Safeguard.
Dave Hoecke'90 is a dive operations specialist at
Sea-Tec Marine,Inc., a marine salvaging company in
Cleveland,Ohio.
Melissa Kimmel'90 is a nurse in the intensive care
nursery at Community Hospital in Springfield,Ohio.
Sue Orth'90 is living in Seoul,Korea,where she
teaches English at the ECC Mokdong Language
Institute.
Pete'90 and Ann Nicholson Savard'90 are registered
nurses at West Virginia University Hospitals.
Sara Peters'91 has achieved licensing as a stockbroker
and is employed by Wall Street Investors and the Holden
Group.She is living in Bad Axe,Michigan.
Kim Averitt'92is a technical writer and editor for RCF
Information Systems,a government contractor
specializing in hardware and software maintenance.Kim
is also the lead editor for the company newsletter.She is
living in Centerville,Ohio.
AmyEdwards'92is a law student at John Marshall
Law School in Chicago,Illinois. She recently
participated in a moot court competition,involving oral
argument and written brief. Finishing in second place,
Amy earned a position on the school's moot court
council and team, which participates in competitions
sponsored primarily by the Chicago Bar Association and
the American Bar Association. Congratulations,Amy,
on this exciting accomplishment!
Raul'92 and Melissa Byrom Mosley'92 have moved
from Dayton,Ohio to Grand Rapids,Michigan. Raul is
pursuing a master of divinity degree at Grand Rapids
Baptist Seminary. Melissa is an executive assistant at
RDV Corporation,a financial managementcompany for
the Richard DeVosfamily. She is also completing a
master ofbusiness administration degree.
JeffPence'92has finished mortuary school and is
working at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Iowa.
His wife,Debby(Reid '92),is employed by Rick Hiton
& Associates,a Chicago-based appraisal firm. Jeff and
Debby are involved with the youth at their local church
and appreciate using their musical talents together to
praise the Lord.
Rebekah Scott'92is a coordinator for Strategic
Mortgage Services in White Plains, New York.She also
enjoys having a piano student.
Erik Benson'93has received a university fellowship at
Central Michigan University. Erik is pursuing a master's
degree in history.
Brian Blackburn'93 is promotions coordinator at Pulse
Records in Westerville,Ohio.Heenjoys his
responsibility as music and programming director for
youth at Grace Brethren Church and is also leading the
Grace Brethren Powell satellite campus in worship and
music.
David Brown'93is living in Dayton,Ohio while
pursuing a master's degree in social agency counseling
at the University ofDayton.He is also a relief worker in
a group home for Xenia Child Services.
Steve Cook'93 is employed by Great American Life
Insurance in Cincinnati,Ohio as an annuity service
specialist.
Rich Doese'93is a video assistant at Veterans
Administration Hospital in Milwaukee,Wisconsin.
Andy Eastman'93is an afternoon announcer for
WHOU-FM in Houlton,Maine.
Elizabeth Foster'93is stationed at Landstuhl Army
Regional Medical Center in Germany as an Army nurse,
second lieutenant.
Carlos"Bumper"Hidalgo'93 spent several months
studying Spanish in Argentina, preparing to minister
full-time with Word ofLife Ministries.
Kim Lloyd'93loves herjob as a guest relations hostess
and VIP tour guide at Walt Disney World in Orlando,
Florida. Kim requests prayer as she seeks to share Christ
with her fellow cast members.
Kevin Murachanian'93 is employed by ECP Financial
Services in Far Hills, Ohio.He is in the marketing
division,dealing with corporate insurance.

Mark Schuchard'80 is a research chemist with Sigma
Chemical in St. Louis,Missouri. Mark and his wife,
Sheila,have two children,Paul(7)and Sarah(3).
Joel Veldt'80 and Cedarville professor of history James
McGoldrick serve on the board of directors for the Greene
County Crisis Pregnancy Center. Mark Kordic'87 was
master ofceremonies for the Second Annual Fund-
Raising Dinner held in April.
Clayton'81 and Angela Gwen Beck'82N and their
children, Austin(4)and Audrey(2),have relocated to
Brussels,Belgium.Clayton accepted a financial
management assignment in the European headquarters of
Sunoco Products.The Becks spent four years in
Colombia and Venezuela on one of Clayton's earlierjob
assignments.
Sandra Kitchen Hamby'82 works for the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development as a loan
specialist in multifamily loan management.She has been
employed by HUD since 1987 and is living in
Greensboro, North Carolina.She has two children,
Alexandra(7)and Derrick(5).
Timothy Depue'83N has been called as associate pastor
ofEmmanuel Baptist Church in Bloomington,Indiana.
Joe'83and Carla Marling Griffin'83have moved to
Richmond,Indiana, where Joe is a high school counselor
for the Preble County Board ofEducation and an assistant
coach at Earlham College.

Sonja Coldren Kring'83N is a pharmacist in Warsaw,
Indiana.
Tim'84 and Alice Boyd Dysert'84 are living in
Southgate, Michigan.Tim is a first-year seminary student
at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. Alice is teaching
at Inter-City Baptist High School.
Jim Hugan'84 is an agency administrator for Mass
Mutual Life Insurance.He is living in Swartz Creek,
Michigan.
Rebekah Jewell'84finished her course study in
elementary education for Lancaster Bible College in
December 1993.She is now education coordinator at
Camp Sankanac in Pennsylvania.
Mark Riley'84 has been named president ofSea-Tec
Marine,Inc., a marine salvaging company in Cleveland,
Ohio. Mark is living in Berea and enjoys his son,Chris
(3). Mark remains active with Cedarville College by
planning a summer alumni gathering for the Cleveland
area and by hiring recent graduate,Dave Hoecke'90,at
Sea-Tec.
Tim Peters'84is working toward his master's degree in
business and has worked at NCR national headquarters
for six years. His wife,Tricia(Miller'87),teaches fifth
grade at Heywood Elementary School in Troy,Ohio and
is also pursuing a master's degree.
Karen Harrington'85 has accepted a full-time position
as a clinical athletic trainer with St. Luke's Hospital in
Saginaw,Michigan.
Lori Hippard Imhof'85 has been promoted to executive
secretary to the president of Moody Bible Institute,
Dr.Joseph Stowell'66.Lori has been at Moody since
graduating from Cedarville.She and her husband,Chris,
live in Chicago and attend Moody Church.
Kris Wilcox'85 is a full-time representative for Lifetime
Books and Gifts. He specializes in providing materials for
home schools and private schools. Kris and his family are
living in Elyria,Ohio.
Jane Romig Brooker'86 is the first female athlete from
Cedarville College to be inducted into the NAIA Hall of
Fame.The ceremony honoring her induction was held at
the NAIA National Track and Field Championships in
Azusa,California on May 28.Jane has twice been a semi-
finalist in the U.S.Olympic Trials and continues to run
competitively for Athletes in Action.Jane and her
husband,Scott'86,and their two sons,Judson(7)and
Matthew(3),live in West Chester,Ohio.The Brookers
are currently raising support to serve with Campus
Crusade for Christ.
Steve'86and Beth McGillivray Kuhn'87 have moved
to Montgomery,Alabama, where Steve is the chief
financial officer for Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital
of Montgomery.
Deborah Deeter Henderson'87 is a nursing instructor
at Carteret Community College in Morehead City,North
Carolina.
Deborah Simmen'87 is employed by Holy Cross
Health Systems Corporation in South Bend,Indiana as a
corporate meeting planner.She has recently been
recognized as a certified meeting professional(CMP),
the highest honor of professional achievement in the
meetings industry.
Amy Welch'87 has moved from Massachusetts to San
Francisco,California. Amy is a registered nurse at
Stanford University Hospital.
Doug'87 and Robin Young VVhittenberg'87 are living
in Pleasant Hill, Missouri,a suburb ofKansas City.
Robin enjoys her career as a full-time mom,caring for
Brittaney(7),Brooklyn(5),Brandt(3),and Brenden
(6 mos.). Brittaney attends first grade,and family time is
often spent with Brittaney reading to her younger sister
and brothers. Doug and Robin attend Faith Baptist
Church,where Doug had been the song leader for the
pasttwo years. Robin is a leader in Joy Club,guiding
children in Scripture memorization,game-time,and
listening to missionary stories. Doug is assistant
controller at Stahl Specialty Company.
Janice Estes'88 is a cardiac nurse in the Spokane,
Washington area.
Cliff'88 and Patti Armstrong Fawcett'88 are living in
Newark,Delaware. Cliff is in the family nurse
practitioner program at the University ofDelaware and
working full-time as a rehabilitation nurse for Liberty
Mutual Insurance Company.Patti enjoys being at home
with their son, Andrew (2).The Fawcetts are expecting
their second child in June.
DaveSamuel'88 is the manager of special services at
Focus on the Family. His responsibilities include sound
reinforcement,external recording,Focus on the Family
commentary,James Dobson family commentary,Russian
broadcasts,and armed forces broadcasts in 66foreign
countries. Dave and his wife, Kirsten,are living in
Colorado Springs,Colorado.
Tim'88 and Sharon Michael Willms'88 rely on God's
grace through the birth and loss oftheir infant son,
Joseph Elias. Joey was born January 4, 1994 andjoined a
sister, Catherine(2). He contracted spinal meningitis and
died on February 7.The Willms are living in South
Holland,Illinois and are grateful for the prayers and
support offriends and alumni.
Ken'89 and Debbie Rotramel Fleetwood'89 are living
in New Palestine,Indiana. Since June 1993,Ken has
been a project analyst with Beam,Longest,&Neff,Inc.,
an engineering firm in Indianapolis.
Daniel Scott'89 is a customer service representative
with Principal Financial Group in Des Moines,Iowa.He
and his wife Diane were married in November 1993.
John Willer'89completed his medical schooling in
June 1993 and is pursuing a career in ophthalmology.
John is living in Worthington,Ohio.

Diane Cockerill Ringer'71 and her husband,John,have
settled in Norfolk, Virginia, where John is a medical
corpsman in the U.S. Navy.Diane enjoys caring for their
three children,Joy(12),Jonathan(10),and Rosalin(8),
and leads a Bible study in the home ofanother military
family.She and John also volunteer at the Virginia
Beach Marine Science Museum and help provide
instruction on whale observation ships.
Sally Miller Fetter'72 has been an equine therapist at
the Ohio Center for Youth for five years, where she
designed the"Horses and Helpers Working for Kids"
program.To encourage academic,social,and emotional
growth,this program pairs developmentally-disabled
children and high school students to learn to ride and
care for horses. Sally is grateful for how God has used
her physical education degree from Cedarville in a
unique way!
Ken Van Loon'75 has been named to serve as the
Command Chaplain for the Great Lakes Region ofCivil
Air Patrol. He is a pilot and has earned the rating of
mission observer for search and rescue activities. He and
his wife,Sandy,live in Paulding,Ohio.
