The Alumni Association mailed surveys to a randomly
selected group of 1,400 alumni to weigh alumni perceptions
and attitudes about Cedarville College. Over 600 alumni
responded by answering several questions and sending their
input back to the Alumni Office. Thank you for a tremendous
response! Tabulations are currently being made and a report
of responses will be presented to the Alumni Council with
comments on praises and concerns. If you received an
Alumni Association Survey but have not returned it, it is not
too late! Please give us your input and mail it to the Alumni
Office today.
The Lady Yellow Jackets track and field team claimed the
National Christian College Athletic Association(NCCAA)
championship at home,with first-year coach Paul Orchard
being named the NCCAA Women's Coach of the Year.
The men's team earned a close second-place finish, only
four points behind Indiana Wesleyan University. Stephanie
Sherman '95, NCCAA champion in the triple jump,long
jump,and 100-meter hurdles, was presented the Wheeler
Award as the outstanding Christian female track and field
athlete of the year. Six Cedarville College athletes were
named NCCAA All-Americans.

Regional Gathering Update
In Arizona
Cedarville graduates and current students
gathered in Window Rock, Arizona in February
with David Ormsbee'78, Cedarville College
director of admissions. John '83 and Kathy
Ormsbee Foreman'83(left) and Gale Nocella'92
(second from right) teach at Hilltop Christian
School, where John serves as principal. Paul
Morse'91 teaches at a school located 100 miles
south of Window Rock. Jill Wehye'94 and Kelly
Davis'94 completed their student teaching at
Hilltop Christian during the winter quarter of
1994.
In Washington D.C.
Hosted by David "Kelly" Fath '91 and De Maurice
Smith '85, alumni in the Washington D.C. area
enjoyed a dessert reception and concert by the
Cedarville College Kingsmen Quartet. Seventy
alumni gathered at Riverdale Baptist Church and
School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland on
March 14, 1994. Leann Swann Lydic'92N took
home an alumni sweatshirt from the Cedarville
grab bag.

In Bloomington,
Illinois
The family dining atmosphere of the
Old Country Buffet made for a relaxed
Sunday afternoon meal with 16 alumni
and their family members on May 1,
1994. Alumni enjoyed the update on
college newsfrom Jane Adams Smith
'84. The private room allowed for
plenty of fellowship for alumni in the
Bloomington/Peoria area. Thank you
to Joe'79 and Barb Roth Rhode'79,
who hosted the gathering and made all
the arrangements!
In St. Louis, Missouri
Twenty-one alumni gathered in Des Peres, Missouri on
April 30,1994 at the home of friends of the College Bob and
Clair Tibbetts. The alumni enjoyed fellowship and a dessert
reception along with a tour of the Tibbetts' West County
Settlers Home.The original log cabin, which serves as a
guest house, was built in 1848,and the main home in 1856.
Alumni gave testimony to God's goodness and ministry
involvements and enjoyed a question and answer time with
the director of alumni relations, Jane Adams Smith '84.
In The Philippines
Richard and Cathy Durham met with 18 alumni
and friends of Cedarville College in Manila,
Philippines on March 20, 1994. The group
enjoyed a pool party and picnic at the home of
Frank'68 and Barb Lepine Jenista '70. The
planning committee for the gathering also
included Dr. Ken Cole'70, who created an
invitation for the gathering. The Durhams showed
the college video to the group and presented
several gifts to the alumni from the College.
In Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania
Dave'70 and Evelyn Hare Southwell'70
hosted an alumni gathering at the new
ABWE headquarters in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania on April 9, 1994. Coach
Don'84H and Nedra Callan gave an
update on the MIS program,and
Cedarville board of trustees member Bill
Commons gave an update on the new
chapel campaign. Following a time of
fellowship and viewing the college video,
alumni toured the beautiful ABWE
facility, led by alumni parents, Ralph and
Evelyn Gruenburg. Sheryl Liddle,former
Cedarville College photographer and
current audiovisual producer for ABWE,
provided her services. Over 40 alumni
and friends of the college enjoyed the
time of fellowship and dessert reception.
