Inspire, Summer 1994 - page 6

On March 28, 1994,friends and family members of Dr. James T. Jeremiah
'73H, chancellor of the College, and Ethel Rayburn gathered at Grace Baptist
Church in Cedarville to witness their wedding vows. Escorting the bride were
her son-in-law, Larry Twigg '79, and grandson David Twigg. Dr. David
Jeremiah '63,son of the groom, officiated at the ceremony. Attendants were
Marilyn Rayburn Twigg '79, daughter of the bride, and James D. Jeremiah '70,
son of the groom. Dr. Jeremiah was later recognized during chapel for his 80th
birthday. Dr. Dixon presented the Jeremiahs with the Energizer mascot and the
Student Government Association gave the newlyweds a keepsake box which
included a Bible.
Cedarville favorite Steve Green returned to
campus for two concerts during Parents
Weekend 1994. Singing a variety of classic
favorites and releases from his new album,
he gave a strong challenge to the College
family concerning our faithfulness to the Lord
and to our families. Cedarville alumnus Scott
Mills'92, concert promotion coordinator for
Steve Green, made the trip from Nashville to
enjoy the concert.

God has blessed the College

director Jane Adams Smith by
maintaining communications and good relations with alumni,
coordinating special alumni events, and working on the Inspire.
Wendy calls Brazil home, having lived in Fortaleza with her
missionary parents during her adolescent years. Her international
experiences include six weeks in Israel with the Institute of Holy
Land Studies in the summer of'89.The trip included a tour of
western European countries.
After graduating from Cedarville with a psychology major, she
served as guest coordinator in the Admissions Office for one year,
then moved to Akron in 1992 to marry Paul Orchard whom she
had met in her parents' church there.Paul was assistant track and
field coach with the University of Akron, and Wendy became a
sales assistant with Jeter Systems Corporation. The next year Paul
