WORKSHOPS
The Writing Center offers a variety of one-hour workshops, usually late in the
afternoon, once per week. Dates and times for workshops are posted on the Writing
Center’s website at the beginning of each semester. These workshops instruct
students on various topics, including how to do the following:

Use MLA, APA, or Turabian styles
•
Do a close reading
•
Write a literary analysis
•
Write a literature review
•
Write a legal brief
•
Write concisely for fields such as business
•
Write fiction, poetry, or creative nonfiction
•
Learn to paraphrase properly and avoid plagiarism
