MAKING THE CASE FOR
ENGINEERING
ENROLLMENT IN OUR ENGINEERING PROGRAMS HAS GROWN
TO MORE THAN 450 STUDENTS SINCE ITS START IN 1990.
Future
opportunities abound to build on the program’s foundation and attract more
students in new engineering specialties.
Our existing facilities present the following challenges:
• Manufacturing space is needed for large electrical and mechanical
engineering class projects.
• More space is needed for student groups to design and build award-
winning competition projects.
• Classroom space setup needs to be updated.
• Current office space does not meet accreditation requirements.
• The biomedical minor needs additional project and lab space.
• The mechanical engineering vibrations lab needs additional lab space.
