IN MEMORIAM
What was the best part about spending seven days on a Western Caribbean cruise with more than 100 Cedarville alumni and friends? It
might be enjoying breakfast in the open air overlooking breathtaking views of the ocean … and watching
Jim Cato ’83
fall asleep in his
chair on deck following a vigorous morning of leading worship. It could be sharing gourmet dinners (and birthday cakes) with friends you
haven’t seen in a while or new friends you just met. It could be sharing funny college memories and exciting plans for the future with
members of our alumni council,
Todd Fogle ’92
and
Tisha (Tapp) Smith ’01
. It could be swimming with dolphins, walking through a
colorfully crowded market, scuba diving, or relaxing on the beach. But, the best moments were actually gathering together to pray and
reading through God’s Word under the guidance of amazing biblical scholars Thomas White, Bob Gromacki, and Rob Turner as well as
hearing from inspiring alumni
Bob ’88
and
Dannah (Barker) Gresh ’89
.
You learn a lot about people when you spend seven days on a ship together. It was a good reminder of how fortunate we are to be part
of the Cedarville family. Consider joining us for our next cruise in 2017 and relax, reconnect, and be reenergized!
Cedarville President Thomas White and his wife, Joy, enjoyed their
first Friends for Life Cruise.
More than 100 alumni and friends boarded the
Norwegian Sun
for a
fun week in the sunny Caribbean.
